Sometimes appointment slots will need to be removed from the appointment ledger because they are no longer available for patients to use. These appointments may or may not already have patients booked into them and they may need to be removed at short notice, for example if the HCP is off sick.


Actions requested from practices

Because the data is collected weekly, practices are encouraged to do weekly audits to ensure that appointments are cancelled and deleted as appropriate and removed from the Appointment Ledger. Ideally, any necessary cancellation and deletion should be done on the same day or within that working week.
