1-year rolling unadjusted percentage of all cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2

All stageable cancers are included within this section, this includes the 21 cancer sites/groups in Table 1 plus other stageable cancer sites defined according to the United Kingdom and Ireland Association of Cancer Registries (UKIACR).

Between January 2013 to December 2019, there was a relatively stable trend in the 1-year rolling unadjusted percentage of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 in England. The lowest percentage was 53.8% for each 1-year rolling period between July 2017 and March 2018. The highest percentage was 54.6% for each 1-year period between April 2014 to December 2014. For the most recent 1-year period, January 2019 to December 2019, the percentage was 54.5%.

At a Cancer Alliance level, between January 2013 to December 2019, the 1-year rolling unadjusted percentage of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 had not changed significantly for 11 Cancer Alliances, had fallen significantly for 3 Cancer Alliances, and had risen significantly for 7 Cancer Alliances.
