The Cancer survival in England publication provides estimates of adult cancer survival for common cancer types. Survival by stage at diagnosis is estimated where possible. The publication has been combined with the geographic patterns of cancer survival in England publication to provide estimates of adult cancer survival for common cancer types, by the regional geographies of Cancer Alliances (CAs) and Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (now ICBs). The publication also provides cancer survival estimates for children diagnosed with cancer.

Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) currently publishes the cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 at a variety of geographies (including local authority and regions). For publications including 2018 diagnoses onwards, the definition has been aligned to the complete case approach presented in the current document.
