Healthcare Assistants and Health Support Workers relabelled as non-ARRS roles
In the Primary Care Workforce, England - collated full-time equivalent (FTE) net change since March 2019 - Direct Patient Care staff Excel tables of previous issues of this publication, we had reported Healthcare Assistants and Health Support Workers as roles which could be claimed for under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) from April 2024 onwards.
These roles subsequently did not become part of the scheme so have now been removed from the section of the table which reports the ARRS claims portal roles and are now reported in the NWRS only roles section. In the Collated DPC full-time equivalent (FTE) by PCN and job role CSV, they have been relabelled as NWRS-only in the DATA_SOURCE column. Numbers of staff working in these roles are not affected.
