Accept or reject a modify user request from ESR
How to use Care Identity Management to deal with a request to modify a user that has been raised in Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
Which roles can do this?
- Registration Authority Manager
- Registration Authority Agent (Advanced)
- Registration Authority Agent
- Sponsor
From the Care Identity Management home page, choose 'View requests'.
In the 'Open requests' tab, select 'View request' for the request you want to manage.
You can now check the details of the request.
The request will be locked by you for the next 15 minutes, though you can unlock it sooner by selecting 'Exit request' at the top.
The details of the request - what has been changed - will be displayed in the 'Modified user details' section:
- the details entered before the modify request are in red in the 'Current details' column
- the proposed new details are in the 'Requested details' column
Accept the request
If you are happy with the new details you can select 'Confirm' to accept the request.
You will then see a message confirming the change.
Reject the request
If you want to reject the new user request, on the request screen, select 'Reject request'.
On the next screen you will need to provide the reason for the rejection. You can include any notes that might help a colleague resubmit a successful request in the future.
When you have finished, select 'Confirm' and you will see confirmation that the request has been rejected.
