The Cervical Screening Management System (CSMS) is the 'call and recall' product for the NHS cervical screening programme in England. It identifies and invites eligible participants, helps GP surgeries to manage eligible patients, and manages receiving and sending results.

  • colposcopy staff

  • the Cervical Screening Administration Service (CSAS)

  • staff working in the Screening Quality Assurance Service

How to access this service

 To access CSMS you will need: 

  • an NHS smartcard or Microsoft Authenticator
  • correct access permissions on your Care Identity profile
  • to complete CSMS online training (optional)

This service is live.

This is a silver service, meaning it is available and supported during business hours 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday but not bank holidays. Major incidents can be logged outside of core hours via the NHS England Customer Portal.
