Summary of onboarding activities
These activities are listed in an approximate chronological order as a guide only, to be tailored according to local working practices and processes. Please also refer to the supplier checklist available through live services.
- Assign key resources to the project including:
- primary contact (for example project manager)
- technical lead and/or developer(s)
- information governance lead
- clinical lead
- All resources to review onboarding documentation.
- Confirm delivery approach.
- Access NHS Digital environments (TKW) if it has not been done before.
- Start product development.
- Start the activities listed in the SCAL
- Start any applicable local clinical safety assessments or processes.
- Test the product's development against reference implementation.
- Complete the conformance testing ( using the NHS Digital test environment).
- Update the business processes and train users.
- Obtain all necessary local approvals for go-live (for example clinical safety, board approvals).
- Sign the relevant NHS Digital commercial documents.
- Start the implementation process with NHS Digital.
