Reviewing credentials a staff member has shared
How to review credentials a staff member has shared in Digital Staff Passport, because they've received new credentials or moved to your trust.
Log onto the NHS Digital Staff Passport employer’s portal using your email address and password.
Note: for extra security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been added to the Digital Staff Passport login process. Read our user guide on logging in with MFA.
If any staff members have shared credentials, it will appear as a category next to either the 'Staff passports' or 'Reviewed passports section of the home screen. Select 'View' next to the message to see all outstanding shared credentials for review.
Select the user's name to review their shared credentials.
A banner will appear on the main page of a user profile to indicate that they have shared credentials for review. Select 'Review credentials'.
Each credential that has been shared will be listed individually. To view full details of the credential, select the blue arrow on the left-hand side of the screen.
If you see a message saying 'Bypass credentials required' and you're not sure what to do, read this troubleshooting page.
When you've reviewed each credential, you can choose to either accept or reject it using the selection buttons. Note: if you choose to reject a request, you must provide a reason.
When you've reviewed all the credentials, select 'Continue'.
You'll see a confirmation screen that lists all credentials and whether they have been accepted or rejected, along with a reason if applicable. Select 'Yes, confirm' and then 'Continue' to proceed.
You'll then see a screen confirming you've reviewed the credentials.
