Cannot change an incorrectly entered name

An HR team member, while creating a new Digital Staff Passport invitation for a staff member, has entered their name incorrectly and cannot find out how to change it.

Note: this happens at the initial stage when you're creating the staff member's profile, before they have been given access to Digital Staff Passport with your organisation.

The name of the staff member is linked to their Digital Staff Passport and cannot be changed in the service.

You will need to cancel the original invitation and issue a new one. This will involve deleting their Digital Staff Passport with your organisation and starting again.

How to cancel an invitation

Log in to the Digital Staff Passport employer’s portal using your email address and password.

Search for the staff member whose invitation you want to delete using the filtering options across the top of the page. When you've found them, select their name.

The user’s Digital Staff Passport profile page will be displayed. Scroll down and find the link titled 'Delete passport from records'. Deleting their passport in this way will cancel the invitation.

If you're happy to proceed, select the 'Delete passport from records' link'

You will see more information about the impact of deleting a Digital Staff Passport. If you're happy to proceed, select 'Yes, delete staff passport from records' and then 'Continue'.

Finally you'll see a confirmation message when the record has been deleted.

Note: the employee will receive an email telling them that their invitation has been deleted from your organisation.
