Share identity with trust - invalid activation barcode
What to do if you are trying to use Digital Staff Passport to share your identity with a trust, but the QR code does not work.
The issue
You have successfully verified your identity using Yoti or Post Office EasyID. You scan the QR code with your phone to share your identity with a trust, but an error message shows saying ‘Invalid activation barcode’, or the scan does not work.
Likely cause
This problem is usually caused because you are scanning the QR code with the Microsoft Authenticator app, rather than the Yoti or Post Office EasyID app.
What to do
The easiest solution is to open your phone camera app, and point the camera at the QR code. A link to a website should show on the camera, and when you click the link, it should open the Yoti or Post Office Easy ID app.
Alternatively you can open the Yoti or EasyID app and select 'Scan'.
Continue through the steps until a confirmation screen appears.
