What to do if you change your home address

There's no need to change your Digital Staff Passport if you change your home address.

Tell your HR team

It's important to tell the HR team at your current trust about a change of address. You need to make sure correspondence goes to the right place and your information is not sent to your old address.

Follow your trust’s process for updating your address. This will either involve contacting HR directly or updating your ESR (Electronic Record System) record using ESR self-service.

You do not need to change your Digital Staff Passport.


Your identity credential is not affected

Your identity credential in Digital Staff Passport is not dependent on your current home address. The address in the credential was the address used to verify your identity.

Your identity credential will remain valid for when you move to a new trust. Your old address will still appear in the credential, but there's nothing you need to do.


When you move to a new trust

Your identity credential with your old address is still valid.

In some cases your new trust may need proof of your new address before you join, for example if they need to do a new DBS check.
