1 the local authority completes a submission

2. The submitted selects the status and finalises the submission

3. Are there any un-supressed warnings? Yes or No

If yes amend the data or supress warnings.

If no the data is marked as final and locked from editing. 

5. Make changes to the data

If yes unlock the data 

If no go to the submission deadline. 

6. Submission deadline day.

 

NHS England

1. X weeks before the deadline day notifies users of approaching deadline.

2. Locks the submitted data,

3. Extracts the non PID enhanced data into the validation tool.

4. Runs the validation rules.

  • If there are errors in the data it unlocks the relevant local authority for submission to editing and feeds back to the local authority to correct errors. 
  • If no marks the submission year as finalised and validated.  This must be repeated for every local authority before the process can continue.  

5. Notifies the local authority data is available for extract so the local authority can download the data and confirm the extracts is complete and the status ready to purge.

6. Produces the NHS England extract.

7.Produces the MIDAS extract. 

8. Purges the data.
