Terminology server training hub
We have provided self-service training to support you through your journey getting to know the NHS England Terminology Server (Ontoserver) and discovering how it can help and support your business objectives.
Introduction
Knowing where to start, which training to do, and what order to do this training in is not necessarily an easy decision, so this guide is here to help you.
People will come to the Terminology Server with different levels of knowledge and understanding. For example, about what we mean by the term “Terminology” (and in our case, we use it collectively to mean Terminologies and Classifications), what a Terminology Server does, and what FHIR® is. As such, you may find it more appropriate to start part way through one of the training paths we suggest below.
Training paths
So, why are you interested in the Terminology Server? We have mapped out some recommended training paths below for some of the most common reasons.
- You are new to the Terminology Server and expect to use it as a source of information.
- You want to use the Terminology Server in a community, possibly authoring our own content.
- You have access to another terminology server and want to syndicate content from NHS England's Terminology Server.
- You are a software developer interested in integrating my system with the Terminology Server.
The guidance for syndicating content from the NHS England Sever is being finalised. If you require guidance about syndicating content from the NHS England Terminology Server to your own terminology server, please speak to a member of our team by emailing [email protected].
Further information
We have provided some guidance to explain how the the FHIR servers work together to form the Terminology Server.
