Other changes to the status of patients on extended S17 leave
A patient on extended S17 leave could also:
- be discharged (if conditions relating to the legal judgment no longer apply)
- die whilst in the community on leave
If the patient is no longer restricted from being discharged, record progress to discharge as necessary in Q41 (12 Point Discharge Plan), Q47 (Date of planned discharge). At discharge, close record by updating the following fields:

If the patient dies, close the record by updating the following fields:
