Mental Health Services Monthly Statistics

This monthly statistical release makes available the most recent MHSDS data from January 2016 onwards. The release provides the most up to date information available about care given to users of NHS funded secondary mental health, learning disability and autism services for all ages in England.

A range of relevant information, resources and data for local systems can also be found via the newly established Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Resource Hub – FutureNHS Collaboration Platform.

This includes a data quality section highlighting information and support around improving submissions to the Mental Health Services Dataset.

NHS England’s crisis and acute care workstreams have been set up to support the commissioning and provision of high-quality, responsive, 24 hours a day 7 days a week accessible mental health services for people who may be seriously ill and in need of urgent support.
