Introduction

The ‘Children, teenagers and young adults UK cancer statistics report’ provides information for the distinctive range of cancers that occur for this age group. The four UK national cancer registries have come together to describe for the first time the incidence, survival and mortality from cancer diagnosed among young people living in the United Kingdom.  

The main chapters of the report provide summary statistics with interpretation. We also describe how cancers are classified for this age group and what data have been used for the analysis.

The appendices at the end of the report include a range of downloadable tables and charts showing detailed statistics for many cancer classifications and age groups.
