Considerations
There are multiple options for deploying indoor mobile as a connectivity solution and the benefits and considerations can be complex.
A clear understanding what you want from an internal system will drive selection of the right solution.
- do you want both data and voice
- do you need a Public or Private network
- do you want one mainstream carrier or multiple
- how many devices are you looking to connect
- what level of network performance do you need (such as throughput or latency)
- what service levels are required
Beyond selecting the type of system that best meets your requirements, you will also need to take into consideration factors such as the space, power, and cooling needed for new equipment. These will be dependent on the solution deployed and for example may be much more significant for a DAS solution than small cell.
