Code renaming
The new organisation names, following NHSEI naming conventions, will be available in ODS data as shown in the diagram below.
The date will vary depending on the specific product; an exact schedule will be provided soon.
Integrated Care Boards (previously STPs)

CCG boundary changes
Boundary changes have been approved for four ICBs. This will affect 7 sub ICB locations or former CCGs and see the boundary of 6 of these change from July 2022.
Bassetlaw CCG (02Q)
LSOAs which currently form the entirety of 02Q will move from South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (QF7) to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (QT1). CCG code 02Q, its current boundary and its relationships to child organisation records (such as prescribing cost centres and social care sites) will be retained. 02Q will have an ICB (formerly STP) relationship change to QT1.
Summary
Lift and shift of one Sub ICB location from one ICB to another.
Tameside and Glossop CCG (01Y) and Derby and Derbyshire CCG (15M)
LSOAs from the Glossop area will move from 01Y to 15M. The boundary of 15M will expand and the boundary of 01Y will reduce. The boundary of Derbyshire (QJ2) ICB will expand and the boundary of Greater Manchester (QOP) ICB will reduce.
Child organisation records (such as prescribing cost centres and social care sites) which are located within the relevant Glossop area, and which have a relationship to 01Y on 30 June 2022, will require a relationship change to 15M. All other organisation records with a relationship to 01Y will remain unchanged.
Summary
Split of 01Y and merger of part of 01Y into 15M.
The Black Country and West Birmingham CCG (D2P2L) and Birmingham and Solihull CCG (15E)
LSOAs from the West Birmingham area will move from D2P2L to 15E. The boundary of 15E will expand and the boundary of D2P2L will reduce. The boundary of Birmingham and Solihull (QHL) will expand and the boundary of The Black Country and West Birmingham (QUA) ICB will reduce.
Child organisation records (such as prescribing cost centres, social care sites, etc.) which are located within the relevant West Birmingham area, and which have a relationship to D2P2L on 30 June 2022, will require a relationship change to 15E. All other organisation records with a relationship to D2P2L will remain unchanged.
Summary:
Split of D2P2L and the merger of part of D2P2L into 15E.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG (06H) and Northamptonshire CCG (78H)
LSOAs from the Oundle area will move from 06H to 78H. The boundary of 78H will expand and the boundary of 06H will reduce. The boundary of Northamptonshire (QPM) will expand and the boundary of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (QUE) ICB will reduce.
Child organisation records (such as prescribing cost centres and social care sites) which are located within the relevant Oundle area, and which have a relationship to 06H on 30 June 2022, will require a relationship change to 78H. All other organisation records with a relationship to 06H will remain unchanged.
Summary
Split of 06H and the merger of part of 06H into 78H.
GP practice membership changes
There are a small number of GP Practice membership changes in the Midlands and East of England regions that are exceptions or additions to the approved boundary changes, which will impact relevant CCGs. Further information is available from the ODS change summary presentation July 2022.

ODS timescales

Points to note about the timescales
The names of existing CCG and STP codes will be updated by ODS on 30 June 2022. They will be published in the ODS API, Care Identity Service (CIS) and Spine for downstream systems to consume 24 hours later, from 1 July 2022.
CSV users will be able to consume the changes by 6 July 2022.
The XML full file will be updated with all changes and published on 29 July 2022 (the XML full file is intended for use as a baseline dataset after which users connect to the ODS API to obtain regular updates).
Relationship changes for Sub ICB Locations/former CCG child organisation records (such as Prescribing Cost Centres and Social Care Sites) affected by boundary changes will be applied by ODS between 1 July 2022 – 6 July 2022. They will be visible in the ODS API, ODS Portal, Care Identity Service, Spine, ODS XML and CSV files for downstream systems to consume according to their own update frequencies.
