Guidance for Perinatal Pathology Providers submitting data to NHS England

Data collection is requested by NHS England to understand the capacity and demand on the perinatal pathology service.

The data will require general management support at a service level to identify processes for collating the data and ensuring it is submitted to NHS England on a weekly basis.

Staff completing the data will have to have a working knowledge of the interim policy for perinatal post-mortem investigation of fetal and neonatal deaths.

Data returns should be submitted weekly to the online portal between Monday 8:00am and Thursday at 17:00.

This should include details on the new referrals and updates on existing cases. Completing the report date on existing cases is an essential part of this data collection to increase understanding of turnaround times and therefore the service demand.
