The Technical Output Specification (TOS) document This is an Excel document. Its main purpose is to provide a detailed breakdown of the specification of the data that is required to be populated per table and per field in the IDB. This is a good starting point to understand the data that each field expects and to understand the validation rules around that data.

Theuser guidance document [Archive Content] provides an extended description of the tables and some of the fields.

Areas covered include:

• acronym descriptions
• a glossary of terms
• an introduction to SNOMED (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms) 
• information on why data fields are classed as Mandatory, Required, Optional or Pilot 
• information of types of reject and warning messages
• information on how the tables are linked
• information on tables specifically related to children
• a description of each table
• a description of certain fields within the tables, where it is recognised that such a more detailed description is beneficial

The data model document provides a graphical representation of the database tables making up the data submission, as well as the relationships between them.

It contains tables and fields as detailed in the TOS and created in the IDB. A colour key has been used to show the logical grouping of tables, such as tables related to patient demographics, tables related to referrals and tables related to immunisations. This presentation of the CSDS tables assists in gaining a quick understanding of how the tables are related.
