I have more than one identity credential in my Microsoft Authenticator digital wallet
What to do if you've signed up to Digital Staff Passport with more than one trust and you have more than one identity credential as a result.
The issue
You have more than one identity credential in your Microsoft Authenticator digital wallet.
This can make it difficult to share credentials with a new trust, because different credentials will be linked to different identity credentials.
Likely cause
This can happen when you sign up for the service as a first-time user with more than one trust, i.e. you've used the Yoti or Post Office EasyID digital identity route to sign up with different trusts.
You only need to sign up as a new Digital Staff Passport user once. When you move trusts, you can register with your new trust using the option 'I have registered before with this or another organisation'. This ensures you only have one identity credential.
What to do
- Delete the Digital Staff Passport you created with the second trust (see guidance).
- Open your Microsoft Authenticator digital wallet, find the identity credential for the second trust, and delete that too. You should also delete any other credentials from that trust.
- Sign up for the second trust again (see guidance). Make sure when you're asked 'Is this your first registration with the Digital Staff Passport service with any organisation?' you select the option 'I have registered before with this or another organisation'.
