Current chapter – Download and preview

Preview

The Preview function is for previewing data which has been successfully uploaded, it is designed to only show records which have been uploaded without errors, which have finished being processed at the time you select ‘Preview’. Only trust users with the relevant permissions can access Preview.

It is accessed either from the preview button on the top ribbon of the home page, or from preview in the list menu on the home page. When you select preview you will see a preview report with a reminder message that the records are a preview only.

You can:

  • select date ranges by month, year and quarter
  • select between combined and individual standard (soon to be decommissioned and only combined standard previews will be displayed)

If you are associated with one organisation it will default to this organisation. If you are associated with multiple organisations you will be able to select the organisation from the drop down menu.

Once you have selected organisation and dates, click on the preview button. You will then see a summary of the report type breakdown.

Selecting the preview report link at the end of the respective report you want to see a preview for will give you a summary table of the records in the preview and a +/- to expand or collapse for seeing the breakdowns:

  1. Suspected cancer type breakdown for 28 Day General FDS
  2. Treatment type breakdown for 31 Day General
  3. Referral type breakdown for 62 Day General

The preview report header confirms the report name, organisation and treatment date range.

The preview reports displays on screen a breakdown of the records by ‘All Tumour Types’.

Download

There are two types of download in CWT. The Download Individual Records which you can do from the preview screen and download which allows you to apply filters and events to select certain records.

Download individual records

From preview, there is a download link under the column download individual records of Report Type Breakdown for each standard you can preview.

Click onto the different download links provided to download for the options of which records to include

1. All Records will include all records in the selected period. If you have selected the two week wait preview it will only include records where the DateFirstSeen is in the selected period, but if you select any other preview reports it will only include records where the TreatmentStartDateCancer is in the selected period.

There is a column in the report called ‘IncludedInReport’ which will highlight whether or not that record is present on the selected preview report.

New CRS previews 25.1 and 26.1 have only “All records” option to download. 19.1 does not have ‘IncludedInReport’ yet.

2. Records included in report will apply the same date filtering logic as ‘All Records’ and will apply the additional filter to only include records that are included in the selected preview report.

3. Records not included in report will apply the same date filtering logic as ‘All Records’ and will apply the additional filter to only include records that are not included in the selected preview report.

When you click on the option you require, a csv file will be saved on your machine which can be opened in Excel.

Download button

The download button allows you to apply filters and events to the data you need to download.

IPT Received Date will filter out patient records based on Inter Provider transfer organisations and dates. This is a standalone filter and cannot be selected in conjunction with any other filter under Event(s) to filter by section.

The dates to download screen will open.

Once you have selected the Tumour type filters and events you need, the file will download for you to save in Excel format.

The Event(s) to filter by would work based on some look-up dates and will be within the range selected in dates to download

  • If "Date first seen" is selected, then all the records where Date first seen belongs to the date range selected in Dates to Download section.
  • If "Cancer Treatment Period Start Date" is selected, then all the records where Cancer treatment period start date belongs to the date range selected in Dates to Download section.
  • If "FDS End Date" is selected, then all the records where Faster Diagnosis Pathway End Date belongs to the date range selected in Dates to Download section.

If "Treatment Start Date (Cancer)" is selected, then all the records where Treatment Start Date (Cancer) belongs to the date range selected in Dates to Download section.

Reports

Based on your permissions reports for provider and commissioner level users are available in CWT for you to download.

These reports are generated only after the bulk upload and on screen edit windows have closed for each submission period.  Learn more about the submission and report generation timetable.

You can access reports by clicking the reports section from the main CDWT welcome page.

The reports standard page opens the list of reports for that standard.

You can use the select all reports button or select the boxes you want to see.

This opens the report selection screen where you can:

  1. select and download the reports you have access to from this screen
  2. check or uncheck the organisation you are associated with
  3. select the dates you want to download
