Does your organisation have a Board level role or champion for leadership and management development?

Please indicate whether your organisation has a board level role or champion for leadership and management development.

This might be a formal or informal responsibility, and might not be an official title, but there is a clearly identifiable individual within the board, with a special interest in, or oversight of, leadership and management development, who ensures that it is appropriately considered at board meetings and its strategic importance is understood.

This is a formal committee or sub-committee of the board, with a clear remit and objectives to consider leadership and management development. it is specified within the terms of reference.

This might be published or unpublished, but leadership and management development is clearly articulated within corporate strategies or planning documents and aligns to the organisation’s objectives.

This might be published or unpublished, but there is a clearly articulated plan, policy or strategy for identifying, managing and retaining talent.

Does your organisation have dedicated staff working in leadership and management development roles?

Please provide as accurate figure as possible.

Types of roles might include (for example) *:

  • leadership development manager or programme manager
  • education and training officer, coordinator, manager or lead
  • project manager, training and development
  • leadership and management tutor or trainer
  • head of learning and leadership development

 

Footnote

*This must only include staff working in dedicated leadership and management development roles, or those who spend a portion of their time working on leadership and management development, like an education and training officer, who works only on clinical development programmes would not be included, but one who works on both clinical development and leadership development programmes, would be included.
