This guide will help you manage users in the NHS England Secure Data Environment (SDE). It provides guidance on:  

  • signing into the online user management service
  • updating user roles
  • deactivating and reactivating users
  • adding new users

How to manage users

If you do not have access to the new online user management service, you can manage users by contacting [email protected]. The SDE team can add, update and deactivate users, and assign Stata licences or upgrade Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) memory allowances. 

If you are a user who would like to request a change to your Stata licence or VDI, you must ask the person who is responsible for managing users in your team to contact [email protected].
