Current chapter – Update user details or tooling


You may need to update a user account. Valid updates include:

  • Update the user’s name 
  • Update the user’s email address
  • Add on a Stata license for the user
  • Update the user’s assigned VDI (compute power)

Adding a Stata license or updating VDI will incur a cost change. For more information on fees, visit Charges to access the SDE.

It is not currently possible to update any of the above user details via the user management service. To action any of these changes you will need to carry out the actions below.

If you are the User Manager:

Send the request details via email to [email protected] with the instruction to make the change.

If you are not a nominated User Manager for the agreement:

  1. Request your agreement’s nominated User Manager emails you (use the email address you use to access the SDE service) stating the change and confirming that they agree for the change to be actioned by the SDE service.  If you don’t know who your User Manager is, email [email protected]  who will be able to tell you.
  2. Forward the received email from your User Manager to [email protected] with the instruction to make the change.
