Current chapter – Update user details or tooling


You may need to update a user account. Valid updates include:

  • updating the user’s name 
  • updating the user’s email address
  • adding a Stata license for the user
  • updating the user’s assigned VDI (compute power)

Adding a Stata license or updating VDI will incur a cost. Find more information on fees and charges to access the SDE.

At the moment, it is not possible to update any of the above user details through the user management service. 

How to make an update

If you are the User Manager, follow the steps below to make an update.

Send an email to [email protected] with details of the changes you need to make. 

If you are not a nominated User Manager for the agreement: 

  1. Ask your agreement’s nominated User Manager to email you the changes confirming they agree to the change. Use the email address you use to access the SDE service. 
  2. Forward this email to [email protected] with the instructions for the SDE service to make the change.
