Current chapter – Access the user management service


When you are added to the SDE as a user manager, you will receive an email with account set-up instructions which you must follow before you can access the user management service.

After you have set up your account, to access the user management service:

1.Sign into the SDE Portal (link opens in a new window).

2. Select the Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) you would like to manage users for.

3. Select Manage users.

The user management page displays a list of the users being managed under your selected DSA.

If you manage users for more than one DSA, you can switch to another agreement by selecting Change agreement in the top right corner of the page.

On the left hand-side of the screen, you can use the search bar to look for users by their first name, last name or email address.

Beneath the search bar are options to filter users by their status and role. Learn more about roles.  

To view users who have the Both (data analyst and user manager) role, you must select the Both filter option. Users with this role will not appear if only user manager or data analyst filters are selected. 


On the right of the screen is the list of users, with their name, the date they last logged into their account and their account status.
